In-depth Advanced Techniques Training
What Is WhyTry?
The WhyTry Program is a strength-based approach to helping youth overcome their challenges and improve outcomes in the areas of truancy, behavior, and academics. It is based on sound, empirical principles, including Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Social and Emotional Intelligence, and multi-sensory learning.
New Advanced Techniques Training:
Training is a one-day event designed for professionals who have been trained or been using the WhyTry Program and are ready for new skills and ideas to work through challenges in the classroom. Strategies transfer to teaching skills outside of WhyTry as well. They include useful ideas about framing lessons, running activities, and surrendering the one-up relationship. Techniques will be demonstrated, such as setting the tone of the class, creating a positive responsive atmosphere, and purposeful language tips. Effective time and group management techniques will be discussed along with detailed models of procedures.

Results to help youth
