Dr.Melissa Sadorf

Superintendent, Stanfield AZ

Dr. Melissa Sadorf is the superintendent of the Stanfield Elementary School District in Arizona, where she also manages business operations, federal grants, and human resources. With a rich background in teaching and educational leadership, Melissa serves as the Executive Director of multiple rural education associations and hosts “The Rural Scoop” podcast. She is the author of “The Resilient Rural Leader” and teaches at Northern Arizona University. Mike Hogg

VP – Partners for Rural Impact

Mike Hogg, VP for Place-Based Partnerships at Partners for Rural Impact, has over 20 years of public school leadership experience in Appalachian districts. His work focuses on ensuring success for all rural students. A former middle school teacher, Mike is also an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, gardening, and kayaking with his family.

Jason Johnson

Jason is a licensed school psychologist and has published research on resilience and student performance.  Jason is a passionate advocate for disadvantaged students and currently consults and trains educators across the nation as the director of training and research for the WhyTry organization. Jason is a thought leader on resilience education and has spoken at hundreds of conferences around the country. He has led successful implementations of all WhyTry programs and has pioneered training for clients in healthcare, corporate, and the US Military.
