“Repairing Relationships, Rebuilding Engagement: Restorative Practices and WhyTry Strategies That Work”

Practical strategies for repairing harm, rebuilding trust, and helping students reconnect after conflict.

A Practical Conversation for Today’s Student Support Challenges

Educators are seeing the impact of disconnection every day: student conflict, defiance, disengagement, avoidance, emotional outbursts, and classrooms where traditional discipline approaches often don’t lead to lasting change.

Restorative practices offer a powerful way to rebuild trust, strengthen accountability, and help students repair harm rather than simply receive consequences. When combined with WhyTry’s resilience-based approach, educators gain practical tools for helping students understand their choices, reconnect with others, and develop the motivation to keep trying.
