Meet Our Esteemed Panelists

Robin is a licensed social worker with over 25 years of experience supporting children, youth, and families. As Outreach Director and Senior Trainer for Parent Project, she has spent 17 years training professionals nationwide to help families navigate challenges with at-risk youth. She has extensive expertise in program development and nonprofit funding, including work with the Alabama Network of Family Resource Centers. A strong advocate for WhyTry, she frequently leads trainings to help schools and resource centers implement resilience-based programs.

Dr. Strichik is the Director of the Alabama Expanded Learning Alliance, working to expand after-school programs and secure funding to support student success. With leadership experience in early childhood education, literacy initiatives, and policy development, she is a White Riley Peterson Policy Fellow and a local school board member committed to improving educational access. She collaborates with state and national agencies to strengthen out-of-school programs, enhance STEM learning, and advocate for policies that uplift families and communities.

Jason Johnson is a licensed school psychologist and Director of Training & Research for WhyTry, where he consults and trains educators nationwide on resilience-based strategies to support student success. A nationally recognized expert in resilience education, he has spoken at hundreds of conferences and led WhyTry program implementations in schools, healthcare, corporate settings, and the U.S. Military. Passionate about helping students overcome challenges, Jason is dedicated to creating a culture of resilience in education.
